I love EMUs, especially the Bronte and Stinger. When I saw the Kimba online, I immediately ordered two pair in two different colors. When they arrived, I couldn't believe that EMU had made such a poorly constructed, incredibly uncomfortable shoe. They were very difficult to pull on, as the lining in the leg shaft was so thick. That lining was also very scratchy, almost like steel wool. When I did manage to get them on, I discovered that there is NO padding or lining whatsoever in the actual shoe/foot (I could practically feel the floor beneath me), which makes for a very strange construction. It's like wearing thin, hard shoes with thick, scratchy legwarmers. EMU sizing is strange -- I'm normally a US 6.5, and an EMU size 5 is slightly loose on me. I exchanged them for a larger size, just in case, but they were just as difficult to get on and just as uncomfortable when they were on my feet. The legs were tight and scratchy, and the feet loose and thin, and very hard. Overall a disaster. Keeping them wasn't even an option; I returned them immediately.

I really liked the style of these boots (slightly slouchy, round toe), but I had to return them. The fuzzy wool is only around the legs. When I put these boots on bare legs, they looked perfect. But when I tried to wear them over jeans, my feet looked extremely small and skinny compared to the fuzzy wool-lined shaft + extra fabric tucked in. And I was even wearing skinny jeans! It looked awful... like I had elephant legs (I'm size 4). I would only recommend these only if you don't plan on tucking in jeans/pants. Otherwise, they are really cute.

I really liked the look of these boots & thought they would be similar to the UGG's in warmth, comfort & lining without the wide rounded shape that looks great if you have a small foot, but a size 10 ??? They are not even close.... The quality & construction is just not there. I expected a fluffy lining, even if it was not genuine sheepskin, if these boots had lining; it was not much at all. As for foot support, NONE. If you are looking for a warm solid boot this is not for you. This is the second pair of EMU shoes I have tried, although cute the fit and quality is lacking.

I bought this pair of boots for my wife and she has had a few months to try it out. She absolutely loves them. She took them on our trip to Ireland and England where we did a LOT of walking siteseeing and all, and she never once complained about her feet. I was impressed. After much use and in different weather conditions, they still look as good as new.
At first I was reticent about buying shoes/boots online without trying them on, but my fears were not confirmed. I highly recommend this product for women and as a gift from men.
